A Vintage Tea Party

I came across this gorgeous party on a Facebook group I belong to and my goodness, I fell in love!! A party after my own heart of course, the florals and lace and just every little detail was just perfect! Sunshine Coast, QLD Mum, Andie, beautifully put this party together- it is fair to say Andie has a knack for parties and her twin daughters Luca and Charlie had the most perfect 4th birthday party.

Here are the details:

The party was completely designed & put together by me for my twin girls, Luca & Charlie who were turning 4 in May 2016.  We live on the Sunshine Coast in QLD, Australia.  I don’t do parties professionally but I’ve always enjoyed trying to put together a beautifully-themed party and a high tea party seemed like the perfect choice for my girly-girls! 🙂   I had handmade shabby chic quilts for their beds which actually inspired the color palette for the party so I decided to run with it, and use the scraps as well for decorations here and there! 🙂 … and also some matching canvases on their bedroom walls were used on the backdrop.  Of course, Pinterest was a huge help in drawing more inspiration and ideas!

All food, treats, sweets, crafts, decorations and printables designed and made by me! And I used doillies wherever I could!  You can never have enough doillies! For activities, the little guests decorated their own teaparty hats and also made their own candy-bead necklaces with personalized charms I had printed out.

I found little mini ceramic tea-cup/saucer sets in the kids section at Kmart for drinking their “rosey tea” (sweetened iced tea), and found silicone teacups/saucers for cupcake moulds.

I also started a vintage teacup/saucer/teapot collection of my own which all the mums used to drink their tea at the party and thought eventually it will be an heirloom collection I’ll pass on to my daughters one day, knowing the collection started at their 4th birthday!

The treat bags included personalized lipgloss, chocolate bar, notepad, and jar of pastel lollies.

Oh my Word!! Every little finishing touch to this party is just gorgeous!

Thank you SO much for letting us share your gorgeous twin daughters birthday party! I know I have taken lots of ideas from this.
